I have recently joined Marilyn as co-owner of A Page In Time Scrapbooking, and I am so thrilled to be in the business again! I was introduced to scrapbooking in 1996 and fell in love with it! I started out with Creative Memories, then became a consultant, but wanted to do more! In 2000 I opened a home based store, but when my husband and I started our family I had to let it go. However, I never gave up my passion for scrapbooking and have enjoyed creating scrapbooks for my children and documenting our family history. I love the newest products, especially bling, and yet I still love the basics I started with - paper!! I enjoy creating scrapbook pages, but I dabble in cards and special projects. I love how there is always a new technique that comes along that inspires me to create something!

I have been scrapbooking since I took my first scrapbooking course at Memory Junction in 2003. I have always loved crafting from quilting to woodworking, but the blend of beautiful papers with photos is without a doubt, my passion. I love creating visual memories for my family and friends to return to way after the event happened and evoke memories of that special day. Creating those memories and giving the gift to family is what I desire to do. Scrapbooking sure has evolved in the years with the creation of the personal die cutting machines and designing that can now be done by computers. I, however, am very tactile and need to touch and examine everything so I will stay a hybrid scrapbooker and never completely go digital. I have been lucky enough to teach at A Page In Time since it opened it's doors and gone on many buying trips in Alberta where the industry leaders attend to sell their wares. I plan to bring my love of scrapbooking to A Page in Time and the knowledge I have with the Cricut machine and new and exciting techniques with gadgets that the industry puts out and how to use them. Sketch night and crop get togethers are just a few that I have in mind. I can't wait to start.

Scrapbooking is a Dynamic form of Art that I have been doing for longer than I can remember and as the newest member of A Page in Time's Design Team, I am excited by this opportunity to challenge myself, to explore new possibilities and products, and to inspire others. I live to think outside the box. To pick up a tool, a piece of paper, an embellishment and to use it in a way that it was NOT intended for, to draw MORE from it. Vintage Grunge is my default style, my heart racing at the sound of Tim Holtz, Graphic 45, and Seven Gypsy's, but my inspiration comes from the details in each photo and I love to “hear” what style they deserve. A clean military line, a domestic goddess pop, or an elegant black and white are all very viable if it draws out the “voices” of the photos. Because that is where it all begins - with Capturing moments with great photos of every day life, milestones and heartbeats you want to never let go of. Then taking those and Create the story, composing these photos along with pieces of memorabilia, accents, colors and designs into a full feeling to share with others- joy, pride, love, laughter. If successful in finding the perfect complimentary balance, it Captivates the audience as they experience a taste of the moment in your life and the lives of the ones you hold close. Regardless of the passing of time, the changes in life, or the aging of the subjects, simply by turning a page a moment is relived and remembered. That is why I scrapbook. To do justice to the moments that I never want to forget. Being part of a design team? That is where I get to be inspired WITH you and to share in the creative energies that come from that. Let's see what we can create!

I love to scrapbook. I have been scrapbooking and card making for about 12 years. I have had many opportunities to design and teach projects, card making, and page layouts. I love to share my passion with others and when something I create inspires others I feel rewarded. The first time I was introduced to scrapbooking I just knew it was the craft for me. I have tried many other hobbies, but nothing has kept my interest like this one. I believe the reason for that is due to the fact that when I was a little girl of about five years old our home burnt down to the ground and we lost everything, including all pictures. So growing up I have seen maybe 2 pictures of me before 5 years old and I often find myself wondering if my daughters look similar to me at their age; but I have very little to compare it to. Putting pictures into a work of art with journaling that describes the moments, feelings, and thoughts at the time is what I love to do.  I am excited to be on the Design team for A Page In Time and can only hope that the projects and layouts that I create will inspire you! Enjoy!

Hello fellow paper crafters! My name is Melissa, & some of you may recognize me from when I lived in Quesnel & owned and operated my own scrapbook store on the Westside! I am so excited to be able to join Paula & Marilyn & the other DT members on this exciting journey! I have been scrapbooking for 12 years & like to dabble in a bit of everything. I do digital layouts, hybrid layouts, regular scrapbooking & some card making. My most favourite project though is the mini scrapbook! As previously mentioned, I am not a stranger to the scrapbooking world... besides being a former business owner & teacher, I have also been on numerous other design teams for websites, manufactures and distributors. I am also a very proud published scrapbooker! I love to be able to tell the stories of our lives in the pages of a scrapbook... and show my family how much they mean to me on the pages of their albums. I am excited to contribute some exciting projects to A Page In Time and look forward to sharing the passion of the craft with you all!
